A young explorer discovered an ancient map inside his grandfather’s house.
The map showed a route through Africa that no modern map contained.
Curious, he followed it.
The journey led him through deserts, forests, and mountains.
Eventually, he found a small village.
An elderly man recognized the map.
“My grandfather drew that,” he said.
“What was he searching for?”
The man pointed toward the mountains.
“Home.”
The explorer was confused.
The old man explained that his grandfather had spent his life traveling the world.
But after decades, he returned to the village where he was born.
“That was his treasure,” he said.
The explorer looked at the map again.
It was not showing a route to gold.
It was showing a route back to belonging.
He returned home months later.
He framed the map.
And underneath it, he wrote:
“Not every journey is about discovering somewhere new.”
