Every morning, nineteen-year-old Adrian sold flowers near a luxury hotel to support his younger sister. He dreamed of becoming a florist, but his earnings barely covered their rent and food.
One afternoon, he offered a rose to Olivia, the daughter of a millionaire attending a business conference.
“I don’t need flowers,” she replied sadly. “I need someone who tells me the truth.”
Adrian smiled and said, “Then perhaps you need a friend instead.”
Olivia laughed for the first time that day. She returned the next morning, and soon their brief conversations became the best part of both their days.
Olivia eventually learned about Adrian’s difficult life. She offered to finance a flower shop, but he refused to accept money without earning it.
Instead, she helped him find a small market stall and taught him how to advertise his arrangements online.
When Olivia’s father discovered their relationship, he accused Adrian of using his daughter to become rich.
Adrian was hurt, but he continued working. He wanted Olivia to know that his dreams had existed long before he met her.
A year later, his little stall had become a successful flower shop. On Olivia’s birthday, Adrian decorated the shop with thousands of roses and invited her family.
He gave her a bouquet containing a single handwritten note: “You were the first person who saw my dream before the world saw my success.”
Her father read the note and quietly apologized.
Olivia embraced Adrian, crying with happiness.
At their wedding, Adrian filled the church with flowers he had grown himself.
