A fisherman in Greece once pulled a golden net from the sea.
Inside it was a single pearl.
He could have sold it for a fortune.
Instead, he returned the net to the water.
The next morning, his boat was filled with fish.
He took only enough for his family.
The rest he released.
Other fishermen laughed at him.
But years later, when the fish became scarce, his waters remained abundant.
The villagers asked why.
He answered:
“The sea remembers how you treat it.”
Nobody knew whether the golden net had truly been magical.
But the village changed.
Fishermen began taking only what they needed.
The waters slowly recovered.
And the story of the golden net became a lesson passed from one generation to another.
