The Forest That Sang

Deep in the forests of Finland, a scientist discovered that trees produced faint sounds when the wind moved through their branches.

She recorded them.

When she played the sounds together, they created a melody.

She called it the forest song.

People from around the world came to hear it.

But the scientist refused to commercialize the forest.

“Nature doesn’t need to become a product,” she said.

Instead, she created a quiet walking trail.

Visitors were asked to leave their phones behind.

They walked slowly.

They listened.

Some heard birds.

Some heard wind.

Others heard nothing at all.

But everyone left feeling calmer.

The forest became protected.

Years later, the scientist returned alone.

She stood beneath the trees.

The branches moved gently above her.

The forest seemed to sing.

She smiled.

Perhaps the song had always been there.

Humans had simply forgotten how to listen.
