The Snow Lantern

In a small village in Finland, children built lanterns from snow every winter.

One boy named Leo made the smallest lantern of all.

His friends laughed.

But Leo placed a candle inside it and carried it into the forest.

That night, a snowstorm arrived.

Several travelers became lost.

They followed the tiny light through the trees.

Leo’s lantern guided them back to the village.

The next morning, everyone thanked him.

Leo looked at his little lantern.

“It was just a small light.”

His father smiled.

“Small lights matter most when everything else is dark.”

From then on, the villagers built hundreds of snow lanterns each winter.

The forest became a glowing path.

And travelers learned that even the smallest kindness can guide someone through a difficult night.
