A group of treasure hunters sail to a forbidden island said to contain ruins older than civilization itself. At night, massive stone statues scattered across the island appear to move slightly whenever nobody is looking directly at them. The explorers uncover ancient carvings describing giant beings imprisoned beneath the island thousands of years ago. As team members vanish during nighttime expeditions, the survivors realize the statues are not statues at all, but sleeping guardians slowly awakening.
