The Shadow on Highway 66

A truck driver crossing a deserted desert highway during the night notices a dark figure repeatedly appearing along the roadside no matter how far he drives. Every time he passes the figure, the radio fills with distorted voices warning him to turn back. Exhausted and isolated, the driver stops at an abandoned gas station where an elderly mechanic tells stories about travelers disappearing along the highway for decades. As the night continues, the road itself begins changing. Mile markers repeat endlessly, maps become useless, and the figure starts appearing closer each time. The driver discovers the highway was built over the site of a forgotten massacre, and restless spirits trap travelers within an endless loop until they confront buried truths about themselves. Include psychological horror, eerie desert imagery, supernatural suspense, loneliness, and an emotional storyline involving guilt from the driver’s past.
