The Last Train Home
A woman missed the final train and boarded an almost empty subway at 1 AM.
Only one other passenger sat in the far corner: a man wearing a dark coat and staring downward.
At every stop, nobody entered.
Nobody left.
Then she noticed something strange.
The train map showed they were passing stations that had closed years ago.
Panicking, she approached the conductor’s cabin.
Empty.
No driver.
The lights flickered.
The man in the corner slowly raised his head and smiled.
“You weren’t supposed to board this one.”
The train never appeared on surveillance footage again.
