Daniel worked day and night to support his wife, Sophia. They lived in a tiny rented room and often struggled to afford food. Sophia once promised that she would love him forever, even if they remained poor.
One day, Sophia met a wealthy businessman who offered her expensive gifts and a luxurious lifestyle. She began comparing Daniel with the man who seemed to have everything.
Daniel tried to save their marriage, working extra hours and selling his motorcycle to buy Sophia a birthday gift. But she had already decided that love without money was not enough.
Eventually, Sophia filed for divorce and moved into a mansion with her new partner. Daniel was heartbroken but continued working until he built a successful construction company.
Years later, Sophia returned after losing her luxurious lifestyle. Daniel listened quietly but refused to restart their marriage.
“You left when I had nothing,” he told her. “Now I have everything except the desire to go back.”
He learned that poverty could be overcome, but broken trust was much harder to repair.
