Lina was the daughter of a wealthy landowner. Her family owned hundreds of acres of farmland and several businesses.
She fell in love with Noah, a poor farmer who worked on a small piece of land inherited from his parents.
Lina’s family strongly opposed the relationship.
Her father told her, “You will suffer if you marry him. He cannot give you the life you are used to.”
Noah understood their fear. He never asked Lina to choose him over her family.

Lina’s father visited him one morning.
“I thought you were too poor for my daughter,” he said.
Noah smiled.
“I was poor in money. But I always knew I could become better.”
Her father shook his hand.
“You have proven that wealth is not only what a person owns. It is also what a person becomes.”
Lina and Noah eventually married.
