Maya was the daughter of a wealthy businessman. Her family owned hotels and restaurants, while Daniel worked on a small farm with his mother.
They met beside a river and slowly fell in love.
Maya’s father strongly opposed the relationship.
“He cannot give you the life you deserve,” he said.
Daniel never tried to impress Maya with money. Instead, he showed her kindness, honesty, and hard work.
When a flood destroyed Daniel’s farm, Maya secretly helped him rebuild it. Daniel was grateful but refused to take her family’s money.
“I want to stand beside you,” Maya said. “Not above you.”
Years later, Daniel’s farm became successful. Maya’s father finally understood that the poor farmer he rejected had become a successful businessman without losing his kindness.
At their wedding, he told Daniel, “I judged your wallet instead of your heart.”
Daniel smiled.
“And your daughter taught me that love is worth more than money.”
