A fisherman in the Pacific Ocean often slept on his boat beneath the stars.
One night, he noticed that the stars reflected perfectly in the water.
He wondered:
“Which sky is real?”
He touched the water.
The reflection disappeared.
He smiled.
The next morning, he told his daughter about it.
She asked what he learned.
He answered:
“Some beautiful things disappear when we try to hold them.”
His daughter remembered those words throughout her life.
She became a photographer.
She photographed sunsets, oceans, forests, and people.
But she never tried to capture everything.
Some moments, she simply watched.
