Deep inside a tropical forest in Bali was a waterfall known only to a few villagers.
A young traveler named Arif discovered it while following a narrow jungle path.
The waterfall fell into a perfectly clear pool surrounded by moss-covered stones.
Beside the water stood an old wooden sign:
“Leave your worries here.”
Arif laughed.
How could a waterfall take away worries?
He sat beside the pool anyway.
For an hour, he listened to the water.
No phones.
No traffic.
No voices.
Only birds, wind, and falling water.
Slowly, his thoughts became quiet.
He remembered his childhood.
He remembered his parents.
He remembered dreams he had forgotten while chasing money and success.
Before leaving, he placed a small stone beside the sign.
He whispered:
“Thank you.”
Years later, Arif returned.
The waterfall looked exactly the same.
But the wooden sign had changed.
Someone had carved another sentence underneath:
“Come back whenever you forget how to breathe.”
Arif smiled.
He finally understood.
The waterfall had never removed anyone’s worries.
It had simply reminded people that they could put them down for a while.
