A struggling novelist moves into a decaying apartment building where loud footsteps and furniture dragging can be heard from the apartment directly above every night at exactly 2:13 AM. The problem is that the apartment has officially been empty for years following a brutal unsolved murder. The novelist begins investigating and discovers old police reports, missing tenant files, and hidden crawlspaces inside the walls. Each night, the sounds become more violent, and shadowy figures appear in mirrors and security cameras. The protagonist eventually learns that the building itself hides a horrifying secret involving ritual sacrifices performed by former tenants.
