The Last Train at 12:47 AM

A burned-out journalist stranded in a rainy city subway station boards a train that does not exist on any official schedule. The train arrives silently at exactly 12:47 AM with flickering lights and nearly empty carriages. Every passenger appears exhausted, pale, and emotionally distant. As the train moves deeper underground, the stations become stranger and older, reflecting different decades from the city’s history. The protagonist slowly realizes each passenger is reliving the greatest regret of their life before disappearing at their destination stop. A mysterious conductor warns the journalist that once someone rides past the final station, they can never return to the living world. The story should explore guilt, memory, grief, and redemption while building psychological tension through eerie silence, distorted announcements, and supernatural encounters.
