Teenagers exploring a tunnel outside Sydney heard distant crying echoing underground.
One friend jokingly screamed into the darkness.
Immediately, a louder scream answered back.
Closer.
Their flashlight died.
Then they heard running footsteps charging toward them from deep inside the tunnel.
Only three of the four teens made it out.
